出院當天乘的士離開，電台播放出一首很難聽走了調的歌，我問司機這是何許人唱的？答案是張學友！我完全不敢相信自己的耳朵！那刻開始，才發現聽力真的出了問題。無論別人唱還是自己唱，都變了調。連女兒那把好嗓子，我都覺得不堪入耳。平日喜歡聽純音樂以助入靜，現在只覺吵耳………..甚麼原因構成是個謎，可能由於瘀血造成對聽覺神經的壓力。沒有甚麼可以幫助，唯有只能接受這種不便，為了使自己心靈平靜，在家中竟禁起歌來。
過了一段日子，直至有一天想起It is well with my soul這首歌，翻查歌詞，有股衝動想聽，但卻躊躇，因為怕難聽。最後鼓足勇氣，按下播放，傳來卻是美妙的音韻，不其然也跟著唱起來，淚水頃刻間流下~那種失而復得，伴隨歌詞it is well with my soul得來無限安慰。
